Red Chilli Powder | 1 tbsp |
Ginger Garlic Paste | 1 tbsp |
Coriander Powder | 1 tsp |
Oil | 1/3 cup |
Cloves (Lavangam) | 5-6 |
Cinnamon Stick (Dalchin Chakka) | 1 large / 2 small |
Onions | 1 large finely diced |
Green Chilli | 5 / 6 small, slit longside |
Green Onion | 11 (swap with additional onion if unavail.) |
Homemade Chicken Masala | 1/3 cup ?!? |
Cilantro Leaves (Kothimeera) | 1/2 small bunch |
Keema Powder | 1 tbsp |

oneWash shrimp, strain fully.
twoMarinate with (next 5) ingredients in large bowl. Mix together and let rest for 10 - 15 mins.
threeIn large pan, add 2 tbsp oil, marinated shrimp & fry until water is evaporated / only oil is left.
fourApprox. 10 - 15 mins on medium heat (last few on hight). Check for some soft - some crunchy shrimp.
fiveTake out the shrimp and rest, now to make the curry:
sixAdd oil,
cloves,
cinnamon stick/s,
onion,
salt,
turmeric
and green chillies.
sevenSautée for 5 minutes, on medium high heat.
eightCheck for soft, caramelized onions.
nineAdd Green Onions, Ginger Garlic Paste and add the shrimp back into the pan.
tenAdd special masala!, Cilantro, Keema Powder and any salt / spices to taste.
elevenTo tighten the curry, extend heat on medium high for 5 more minutes.
